A Masterpiece of Monastic Craftsmanship
We are blessed to offer this exquisite Ceremonial 100-Bead Stone Prayer Rope, a premium piece personally handcrafted by the Abbot of our monastery. Unlike our everyday satin komboskinis, this prayer rope is a substantial, slightly heavy, and visually striking piece of spiritual artistry, designed for high ceremonial use, or for adorning special icons.
Semi-Precious Stones & Striking Detail
This prayer rope is meticulously strung using exactly 100 beautiful, iridescent Mother of Pearl stones as the primary beads. Nestled between between these beads are smaller Tiger Eye stones, adding a rich, earthy contrast. Carved red stone crosses are placed at ten-bead intervals. The piece culminates in a striking gold-colored cross medallion, beneath which hangs a traditional red tassel.
Greek Tradition: Icons & Ceremonial Use
Because of its impressive scale—the main loop measuring approximately 140 centimeters in length—and its slightly heavier weight, this prayer rope possesses a distinctly regal presence. It is highly appropriate for a bishop to wear and use on the throne during solemn services. Furthermore, in keeping with deep-rooted Greek Orthodox tradition, it us perfect for draping over special or beloved icons in your home prayer corner or parish, serving as a beautiful adornment of veneration.
An Heirloom Spiritual Gift
This is not simply a prayer rope; it is a monastic heirloom. Whether purchased for a beloved bishop or priest, a parish, or for your own family’s prayer corner, it carries with it the authentic blessings, quiet peace, and dedicated craftsmanship of our monastery.
