Antimension Collection

The Antimension (from Greek ἀντιμήνσιον, “in place of a table”) is and indispensable sacred textile in Orthodox Christian liturgical life. Consecrated by a ruling hierarch and carrying holy relics, it serves as the consecrated altar cloth upon which the divine liturgy is celebrated—whether on a consecrated holy table or in a makeshift sanctuary.

Our collection features authentic historical, monochrome, and full-color Byzantine, Romanian, and Athonite prototypes remastered in-house by our brotherhood at the Sacred Monastery of St. John of the Ladder in Boeotia, Greece. Each piece is crafted with meticulous attention to canonical tradition, liturgical practicality, and aesthetic dignity.

Note: All antimensia leave our monastery un-consecrated and without holy relics. Relics must be supplied and sealed by your local diocesan authority.
