Our Athonite Amber Incense is built upon a classic blend of deep labdanum and sweet benzoin, weaving together a rich, honey-like sweetness with a comforting, earthy foundation. Compared to our Egyptian Amber—which offers a darker, muskier, and more heavily spiced profile—this classic Amber provides a brighter and sweeter fragrance. It establishes an atmosphere of profound warmth and tranquility, perfectly suited for the quiet moments of daily prayer.

As an offering from our monastery, this incense is handcrafted in a spirit of continuous prayer, honoring centuries-old Athonite traditions:

• We begin with pure Ethiopian frankincense, ground into a fine, golden powder.
• This foundation is saturated with our high-quality amber fragrance oils and kneaded by hand into a dense dough.
• The mixture is carefully rolled, dusted with magnesia for perfect consistency, and cut into small pieces.
• Finally, the incense cures for over 30 days, allowing the rich aromas to fully mature into the sublime fragrance we offer to you.
