How to donate to an Orthodox monastery. A table of items that will almost certainly be useful for a monastery: cash, olive oil, peanute butter, pasta, flour, beeswax candles, sulfite-free communion wine, and paper towels.

Almsgiving

Almsgiving is a cornerstone of the Christian life—a spiritual work of mercy that sanctifies both the giver and the receiver.

The Sacred Monastery of St. John of the Ladder is entirely self-funded, receiving no state funding or external grants. While our brotherhood labors daily to sustain ourselves through crafting pure incense, antimensia, and liturgical vestments, maintaining our monastery grounds, heating our cells, and funding our weekly travels to serve the Cathedral of St. Paraskevi in Attiki requires steady operational support.

If you do not require physical goods at this time but wish to simply help our monastic community, your direct offering of almsgiving provides vital, immediate sustenance for our brotherhood.
