Description
A Dignified Tradition
The skufia (skoufos) is a symbol of the humble dignity of the priesthood and monastic life. This semi-hard skufia is designed to offer a structured, clean silhouette that maintains its shape beautifully over time, while the interior remains comfortable for extended wear during services or daily duties.
Quiet Elegance
While traditional in form, this skufia features a touch of refined craftsmanship unique to our workshop. The black fabric is adorned with a sophisticated, black-on-black floral embroidery pattern. This detail adds a layer of elegance and beauty which reflects the quiet, hidden beauty of the spiritual life without compromising monastic simplicity.
Handcrafted in Our Monastery
Every skufia is cut, sewn, and embroidered by the brotherhood of St. John of the Ladder in Boetia, Greece. We take great care in the construction of each piece, viewing our handiwork as a service to the clergy and monks who will wear it. By choosing this item, you are directly supporting our brotherhood and helping to preserve the art of traditional Orthodox tailoring.
Sizing & Custom Orders
We offer a wide range of standard sizes based on head circumference. To find your fit, please measure around your head where the skufia will sit.
