Description
The Monastery Workshop
Our candles are formed using a hand-turned press in our workshop. We soften the pure beeswax until the room is filled with the scent of honey, then manually wind the wheel to form the candle ropes, which are cut by hand.

When you make this offering, you are supporting the monks’ own labor. Your donation is received as almsgiving, which supports the brotherhood and our sacred ministry.
Candle Sizes
We offer four sizes for this offering. Because every candle is cut by hand, lengths are approximate:
- Simple Taper (~8″): A delicate, thin candle for a daily offering.
- Vigil Taper (~10.5″): A classic size for the candle stand.
- Festive Taper (~14.5″): A tall, substantial candle.
- Pillar Candle (~14″, Thick): Our largest beeswax offering.
A Note on our Workshop: We prioritize using our own handcrafted candles. If our workshop stock is low, we will substitute a pure beeswax candle of equal quality from our cathedral or a sister monastery to ensure your offering is made without delay.
