Description

A Reminder of the Divine Economy & God’s Love for Man

“O Bethlehem, make ready, for Eden has been opened to all.”

For all who hold the joyous Feast of the Nativity dear, this fragrance was created to serve as a beautiful reminder of the Incarnation, to be cherished throughout the year. Its warm and reverent aroma is intended to evoke the peace and profound wonder of the Nativity of Christ, bringing joy to those who especially love this Feast of the Holy Orthodox Church. It is a humble offering that helps prepare the heart for worship, a timeless echo of the joyous proclamation, “Christ is Born!”

A Labor of Prayer & Tradition

As an offering from our monastery, this incense is handcrafted in a spirit of prayer, honoring the centuries-old Athonite traditions:

  • We begin with pure Ethiopian frankincense, ground to a fine, golden powder.
  • This powder is saturated with a high-quality, fragrant Bethlehem oil and kneaded by hand into a dough.
  • The mixture is carefully rolled, dusted with magnesia for a perfect consistency, and cut into small pieces.
  • Finally, the incense is cured for over 30 days, allowing the rich aromas to fully mature into the sublime fragrance we offer to you.

An Offering of Faith

When you bring this incense into your home, you are doing more than making a purchase—you are participating in our story. The proceeds from our handiwork directly sustain our self-funded monastic brotherhood and support the monastery that we rebuilt, by the grace of God, after it was destroyed in an earthquake. We thank you for your support of our mission.
